Thank you to everyone who participated in our final two camps for the summer! We had such a great time and it is incredible to see our young students coding and creating while learning and leading. One new addition to the DreamQuest Academy Camps is the Advanced Camp. Created especially for kids who have completed the first camp…but want more! From a flying “Corgi Cop” who can save sheep (and don’t all sheep deserve to be saved?) to a sneaky genius trying to save his research from bad guys through magically shrinking, the fun involved in game creation is obvious….but the learning behind this fun is incredible. DreamQuest Camp uses state-of-the-art programming systems, such as Unity and C#, to build 3-D games for both mobile devices and desktop computers. Of note, our first ever, kid-created, mobile-device game (Corgi Cop!) will be available on this website for free download.
So what’s next? DreamQuest Academy is planning on building our own after-school program in the Boulder/Longmont and the Lafayette/Louisville areas! This will be starting on October 5, 2015 and will run for four weeks, twice a week. More to follow this week so stay tuned! E-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like to be added to a list of interested students. I’ll make sure you are in the loop for when classes start and a discount coupon. We’ve also tossed around a few ideas about having an annual girl-hackers camp and adult learning camps. If you have any interest in either of these potential offerings, please e-mail me and lets get chatting about where we can take this awesome program.
Remember, though everything may seem “broke-sauce”, Christopher and his dedicated programmers will train you to build your own games, destroy the bad-guys, and have fun learning in the process.
Thank you for your support and keep dreaming!
